    Individual Counseling and Psychotherapy

    For adults 18 years and older.

    We will meet as needed, typically once weekly, in my private office setting for 50–55 minutes*. Together we will identify and resolve where you’re getting stuck, and in this process we will reveal a clearer, more desirable path for you moving forward.

    A long-term commitment is not necessary in most cases. 

    Individually customized one-on-one workshops are also available for more intensive personal work. These workshops are 2–4 days long, allowing for more in-depth work than is possible in a regular therapy session. Learn More

    Couples and Marriage Counseling

    For couples at any stage of their relationship: 

    • You’re at the very beginning of a relationship, and you want to set the foundation for long-term success in love.   

    • You’re in crisis, and you need some help getting through.

    • You’re in a long-term relationship, and it could use some revitalizing.

    In addition to romantic relationships, “couples” counseling is also helpful for parents and adult children, siblings, even co-workers and BFFs—any situation that could use help with clearer communication, better understanding of one anther, and learning conflict-resolution skills.

    What to Expect

    We will typically meet once a week, or as needed, in my private office setting for 70–75 minutes working toward both your individual and your relationship goals*.

    We’ll create together an emotionally safe working environment in which both parties can feel safe and free to express themselves as you heal old wounds, negotiate conflicts, and set a strong foundation to thrive.

    You should plan to attend the majority of our meetings together as a couple.  However, there are times when meeting individually is necessary to meet the goals of your relationship; this is decided on by a case-by-case basis.

    A long-term commitment is not necessary.

    Group Therapy

    Group therapy, where up to ten individuals meet weekly or bi-monthly, can be an illuminating, powerful, and life-changing experience. Individuals gain support, resolve unhealthy relationship patterns, and learn the skills needed to build more satisfying relationships with themselves and others.

    Beyond Talk Therapy

    Sometimes a more intensive approach than traditional talk therapy is needed to get the results you want in your life. These are some of the additional interventions and tools we may consider using: 

    Experiential Therapy: an effective therapeutic method that engages the full person (body, mind, and emotions) for powerful transformation. Examples include EMDR, psychodrama, equine-assisted therapy, and adventure therapy.

    EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy: an effective and evidence-based form of treatment for PTSD, relational and complex trauma, and many mood and anxiety disorders. 

    Psychodrama: an active and creative therapeutic approach that uses guided drama and role-playing to gain insight into your feelings and behaviors and to move through old patterns and develop new, healthier ones.

    Equine Assisted Psychotherapy: an illuminating and powerful approach to relationships “through the way of the horse.” Expect to elevate all of your relationships—to yourself and to others—as well as your spiritual connection through this experience.  

    Adventure Therapy: an active, experiential approach to psychotherapy and counseling that utilizes activities to engage your psychological make-up and the way you process information, often illuminating subconscious fears and anxieties. Learn More →
