When I force myself to slow down, quiet my mind, and pay attention, I always 'hear' something from the horses that I need to hear. A few days ago, the 'message' came from a beautiful, golden horse whose name is Bacardi.
Don't be a cow. They're ruminants. They chew the same food over and over. Be a like a horse. We chew our food once, then move it into our stomachs to be efficiently digested.
The human mind can be like a ruminant, going over and over, spinning, looping, and obsessing, about people, places, and things, always in the past or future, disassociated from the present.
By nature, humans are not ruminants, so this is toxic to the body, mind, and soul.
Today I will practice bringing my mind back to the present moment, becoming aware of just what is, without judgement or attachment. If I find myself ruminating on a particular situation or emotional disturbance, I will call a trusted friend, perform a releasing ritual, and say thank you to God for His/Her grace and mercy.
Muchas Gracias Bacardi Mi Amore!
